Candy Crush Soda Saga really needs no introduction, you have probably already played the original version of Candy crush (I think everyone has!) and it’s an absolute giant among the App gaming world and it’s success has been colossal. Developed by King.com limited who are a big name in the App gaming world and they have created some of the best free game apps such as Farm Heroes Saga and Bubble Witch which are all free but generally offer in game App purchases. Candy Crush Soda Saga is still topping the charts of best free game apps.

What’s it about

The goal of the game is the match at least 3 of the same fruits/colours together to clear them of the screen, you do this by swiping across or up and down on the screen. There are several power ups that you can obtain for free and by paying via the in game purchases to help you with the screen.
There are currently 135 levels but the goals on some levels vary; you either have to match the bottles, find jelly bears, get the bear above the jelly strong or eat all of the chocolates to complete the levels. You can score a total of three stars each level and this is based on your score / performance. You can also synch your facebook to the game so you can compete with your facebook friends who are playing the game as well. we are sure Candy Crush Soda Saga is going to remain the title of number one for a while and it will certainly take some beating to overtake its popularity.

Difficulty to play

We give it a difficulty rating of 8/10, Candy Crush is fairly easy to pickup and play but if you want to progress through the levels without paying then you really need to practice and invest a lot of time, it’s a great game if you are traveling a lot and need some help killing time.

Number 2 – Crossy Road – Endless Arcade Hopper

Overview

Crossy Roads was released November 20th 2014 and developed by the company Hipster Whale Pty Ltd, it’s available on both Android and IOS and was recently updated on 18th December. It has really been a successful and popular game and still boasting second place in the charts of best free game apps on IOS.

What’s it about

Like a lot of the best free game apps it’s a very simple game but don’t let that fool you, it’s very addictive and has great game play and appeal. The goal of the game is to get as far as you can across the rivers, roads, grass and train tracks without dying. There are obstacles including rivers, boulders, trains and cards – to get passed the obstacles you must take the correct path or use objects such as lily pads of logs in order to survive. If you move too far back or remain in place too long then your mascot will be snatched by an eagle and game over.

Difficulty to play

We give it a difficulty rating of 6/10, it’s simple to learn and appeals to all ages though days take some practice to get far in the game.

Number 3 – Subway Surfers

Overview

Subway Surfers has a similar twist on the game Temple run, it’s called an endless running game and was co-developed by Kiloo and SYBO games. It was released May 2012 and available on both Android and IOS. The game has seen a lot of success and has been a key player and contender among the best free game apps available for a while now.

What’s it about

The game is about a young graffiti boy who was caught doing graffiti on a railway site and the aim of the game is to run down the tracks and jump on trains to escape the police inspector and his dog as well as the trains and other obstacles in the game. If you get caught by the inspector or get hit by the train then it’s game over and you must restart. As you run through the game you can collect coins and special power ups to boost you through the game and collect more coins. The boosts can also give you an award in the game.

we give it a difficulty rating of 5/10 but don’t let that you put you off, it’s a simple game but offers hours of fun and get’s better once you really get the hang of the game and start getting high scores and completing the challenges.
