Farm games for Android and iOS are more popular than ever, sounds strange but it’s true. There are lots of farming style games around at the moment but today we are going to cover what we consider to be the leading farming App games currently available with our usual MobileGames101 rating on each.
Here is our top 3 list of farm games for Android
1 – Farmville 2 Country Escape
Farmville has been around a while now (since 2009 to be exact) and Country Escape is the second release of the hugely successful Farmville series from Zynga. All players start out with an empty farm and you must build your own farming empire and gain XP to level up by plowing land, planting, growing and harvesting your crops and trees.
You can also buy and raise your very own animals/livestock (from Chickens to Cows and many more). The more you farm the more XP and levels you will gain which allows you to unlock higher level crops, buildings, animals and more. If you do want to progress quickly then you will need to buy the Farmville in App currency called Farm Bucks/Cash which allows you to speed up your progress and help out your friends.
Our rating; Definitely the leading farm game for Android and iOS for us, it’s amazingly addictive and offers a fun and ‘cartoony’ type game play which appeals to all ages.
Game play: 9/10
2 – Hay Day
Hay Day is another gem among the farming games available on Android that was released in November 2013. I’m sure you have probably seen the TV advert for Hay Day (probably one too many times even).
Hay Day was developed and published by Supercell who are also well known for Clash of Clans which is probably aside from Candy Crush is one of the most popular and played App games around. It has been reported that Supercell earn over $30 million USD per month from the combination of Hay Day and Clash of Clans which is quite simply amazing and unbelievable.
The game begins with a scarecrow telling you how the farm works, basically the tutorial to the game which gives you a brief overview of how everything works. Similar to Farmville you need to build and maintain your farm buy buying buildings and in game items to gain XP and level up.
Our rating; We like Hayday and its a worthy opponent in the top three farm games. It offers great game play, fun graphics and overall a nice gaming experience though for us you need to chose Farmville or Hayday so we recommend to try both games and make your own call.
Game play: 9/10
3 – Farming Simulator 14
Farming Simulator 14 has a different style of game play from Hay Day and Farm Ville in a sense that it offers a more realistic and less “cartoony” game play experience which has proven to do well and capture its own niece audience.
Farming Simulator is the second installment of the farming game developed by Giants software that basically offers a more polished version of the first game. When you first start out you have an old style and small farm so the goal of the game is to grow and develop your farm into a modern, larger and successful farming empire.
You develop through the game by harvesting crops and selling them so you can upgrade and buy new machinery, livestock, buildings and grow your farm.
Our rating; Farming Simulator 14 offers a quality realistic farming game experience that we really like as it’s unlike the other cartoon style farming games around. We highly recommend Farming Simulator if you’re looking for a new style and twist on a farming game.
Game play: 8/10
There are of course other Farm games for Android available but we have just listed our favorite top 3 so be sure to search for some other farming games and of course new releases.
